- Why Typing?
- Typing forces active recall, similar to free recall, so you are less likely to mistake recognition for mastery.
- Can I Create My Own Flashcard Sets?
- Yes, with a free account. Use Create Set from the app after you sign up.
- What Is Study Mode?
- Study Mode is review with typing-based recall: you practice terms at your own pace before you switch to Quiz Mode for a scored run. Read Study mode and Quiz mode.
- Can I Host Games?
- Yes. Open Play, create or join a lobby, and share your room code so others can join the same flashcard game. Read the Host games guide for details.
- What Can I See On The Home Page?
- After you sign in, Home shows your sets, progress, and quick ways to keep studying. Guests can use Browse and Play without an account.
- What Is Quick Match?
- Quick Match pairs you into a fast multiplayer session on a curated topic without a lobby code. Find it under Play. See Quick match for more.
- What Are The Topic Colors?
Topic colors outline set cards in Browse and search so you can spot categories at a glance. They match the topic tag on each set. Each built-in topic uses a 2px outline in this color (same values as in the app):
- Math — blue-600,
#2563eb (rgb 37, 99, 235) - Science — green-600,
#16a34a (rgb 22, 163, 74) - ELA — indigo-600,
#4f46e5 (rgb 79, 70, 229) - Art — pink-600,
#db2777 (rgb 219, 39, 119) - Geography — cyan-600,
#0891b2 (rgb 8, 145, 178) - History — orange-600,
#ea580c (rgb 234, 88, 12) - Entertainment — fuchsia-500,
#d946ef (rgb 217, 70, 239) - Other — slate-500,
#64748b (rgb 100, 116, 139)
Custom topic strings that are not in the list above get a stable generated color (HSL from the name) so each label stays consistent.
